Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 24, 2026 · Versión en español
1. Introduction
Your peace and your privacy matter equally to us. Higher Tech LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Elevva mobile application (the "App") and the website elevva.app (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we protect your information and use it to personalize your experience in Elevva.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Website Waitlist (elevva.app)
If you join the waitlist on our website, we collect your email address, the type of phone you indicate (iPhone or Android), your browser language, and the page you arrived from. We use this information solely to notify you when Elevva launches and to understand which devices to build for. You can request deletion of this information at any time by contacting us.
2.2 Information You Provide Directly in the App
Account information. When you first open the App, an anonymous account is created with a technical identifier. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we store the identifier that provider gives us and, if you authorize it, your name. We never see or store your passwords.
Onboarding information. Your chosen name, birth date, gender identity (used only for grammatical agreement of phrases in Spanish; you can answer "prefer not to say"), your answers to the initial questionnaire, the topics you follow, and your intention.
User-generated content. Phrases you save and phrases you write. Phrases you write are strictly private: no other user can ever see them.
Notification preferences. Whether notifications are enabled, your preferred frequency, and your preferred time window.
2.3 Information Collected Automatically
Usage information. Product events (which screens are used, which phrases are shown, saved, or shared), your streak progress, and session frequency, associated with your account identifier.
Device information. Anonymous device identifiers, operating system version, app version, device type, and an approximate location (country or city) derived from your IP address.
Analytics data. We use Amplitude to collect pseudonymized usage events, screen views, and feature interactions. We do not send your name, your birth date, or the content of your own phrases.
2.4 Purchase Information
Subscriptions are processed through Apple. We never receive or store your card details; we receive only your subscription status.
2.5 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Payment card information (handled by Apple)
- Precise location data (GPS coordinates)
- Contacts from your device
- Photos from your device
- Health data from Apple Health or other health apps
- Social media account information
3. How We Use Your Information
Our legal bases for processing your data include your consent, the performance of a contract (providing the Services), and our legitimate interests in improving and securing the App. We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and sync your progress across devices
- Deliver phrases that match the topics you follow
- Calculate and display your progress (streak)
- Send reminder notifications at the frequency and times you configure
- Operate your subscription
- Improve the product through aggregated metrics
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests
- Comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of Service
We do not sell your data. We do not track you across other apps for advertising. We do not show ads.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share information only with trusted service providers who perform services on our behalf:
- Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, cloud database, and remote configuration. Firebase stores data on servers located in the United States and other regions, in compliance with GDPR and appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. (privacy policy)
- Amplitude — analytics and usage tracking, pseudonymized only. (privacy policy)
- Superwall — subscription paywall management; receives your user ID and subscription status. (privacy policy)
- Apple — payment processing and, if you use it, Sign in with Apple.
All service providers are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information. We may also disclose information if required by law, in connection with a business transfer (with notice to you), with your explicit consent, or in aggregated, de-identified form that cannot reasonably identify you.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account directly in the App (Profile → Delete my account): your authentication account and all your data are removed from our servers. Local data on your phone is removed when you uninstall the App. Some information may be retained in backups for a limited period for disaster recovery, and aggregated, de-identified data may be retained for analytics.
6. Data Security
All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS. Data stored in our database is encrypted at rest. Strict access controls limit who can access user data. While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to the processing of, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
California residents (CCPA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. We do not sell personal information.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland residents (GDPR): you additionally have the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@elevva.app. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we might have information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it as quickly as possible.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed on servers located outside your country, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ. We take appropriate measures to ensure your personal information receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date above and, for material changes, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
